500 Power plant

Ansaldo Fuel Cells SpA (AFCo), an
Italian Corporation, has been created by scission from Ansaldo Ricerche Srl (ARI), a Finmeccanica
company acting since over 10 years in the development of fuel cell technology.
 | AFCo is focused on the industrial production and commercialization of Molten
Carbonate Fuel Cells (MCFC) power plants in the range 0,5 to 5 MW.
|
 | AFCo technology mainly derives from the acquisition of Ansaldo
Ricerche Know-How, developed in over a decade of RD&D
|
 | AFCo production capability is
initially guaranteed through a porous component
manufacturing factory, developed in partnership with FN, an Enea Subsidiary,
that produces electrodes under AFCo
formulations. A new factory being set up at AFCo premises is
expected to be operating in 2002. |
 | AFCo is a young and flexible company that will soon consolidate its position on the
market as the main European Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell Company |
